Verizon

Allows Veterans, their caregivers and families to use VA Video Connect without incurring data fees while on their 4G LTE network. All of Verizon’s 5G plans are unlimited, so there are no data charges to use VA Video Connect. Video visits using VA Video Connect are automatically recognized; no action is required by the user.

In the following situations, use of VA Video Connect may still result in data charges if the Verizon subscribers are:

  • “Roaming”: Both domestic and international roaming on the Verizon Wireless network will incur data charges.
  • Connecting to VA Video Connect through a Virtual Private Network (VPN).

SafeLink by TracFone

Allows Veterans, their caregivers and families to use VA Video Connect without incurring data fees while on their 3G, 4G, and 5G networks. Video visits using VA Video Connect are automatically recognized; no action is required by the user.

In the following situations, use of VA Video Connect may still result in data charges if the T-Mobile subscribers are:

  • “Roaming” off the T-Mobile network.
  • Connecting to VA Video Connect through a Virtual Private Network (VPN)
