Introduction
Skills Training in Affective & Interpersonal Regulation (STAIR) is an evidence-based psychotherapy designed to help with emotion regulation and interpersonal relationship problems that people commonly experience after a trauma. STAIR Coach is an app for people who are engaged in STAIR therapy with a mental health professional. The app will guide you through the exercises assigned by your therapist and allows you to track and record your progress. STAIR Coach includes tools for self-care, a mood journal, and a training plan to help you understand and regulate your emotions and improve your relationships with others.
PTSD is a serious mental health condition that requires professional evaluation and treatment. STAIR Coach was designed to be used with a mental health care provider as part of Skills Training in Affective and Interpersonal Regulation. It is not meant to be used for self-care.
STAIR Coach was created by VA’s National Center for PTSD.
