The My VA Images mobile application (app) allows Veterans to virtually follow up with their VA care team by submitting photos and/or videos and reviewing comments from providers. When a provider sends a request for photos/videos, Veterans can use My VA Images to upload general images or videos, as well as specific dermatology images.

To use the My VA Images app, you must have ID.me, DS Logon Level 2 (Premium), or My HealtheVet Premium account credentials. If you do not have any of these accounts, or you are not sure, visit mobile.va.gov/login-information for more information.

From the home screen or menu drop-down, tap My Telederm. Read the consent form, then tap I Consent to continue using My VA Images (if necessary). Tap the check-mark next to “Do not display again” if you do not want the consent form to appear again.

Tap on the request you would like to view to access more information about the request. Tap Continue to proceed to the Follow-Up Request Questionnaire and fill out the questions. Once you have completed the questionnaire, you will see a review page. Tap Accept to submit the questionnaire.

After you have submitted the questionnaire, you will be taken to the image request page. You will see a brief description of the photos you will be taking. As you navigate forward, you will see placeholder images of the different photographs your provider has requested you take. Tap Take Photo.

  • For mobile device users – A pop-up box will appear allowing you to take the photo or choose the photo from your device’s photo library.
  • For computer users – A pop-up window will appear allowing you to choose images from files already uploaded to your computer.

Once your photograph has been successfully taken or uploaded, tap Accept. Upload all images requested by your provider and follow the same process for requested close-up photos. You may be required to add a description under some images at this time. Review your photos and tap the forward arrow. Tap the circle next to Email or Phone for your preferred contact method. Tap Accept & Submit to complete the request.
