Introduction

Sidekick Platform is an AI-powered personal guide designed to help Veterans, caregivers, and providers access knowledge, resources, and expert-guided content.  

Through conversational AI, your Personal Sidekick answers questions step by step, helping you discover available benefits and resources tailored to your unique needs. The app provides specialized, provider-supplied guidance on critical topics such as prosthetics, rehabilitative services, education, and career opportunities. 

Why Veterans Use Sidekick

Sidekick helps Veterans find VA information when they are not sure where to start. You can ask questions about benefits, education, caregiver support, housing, and other available VA resources, and VA-provided information.  

Each Veteran can select a Personal Sidekick to act as their personal guide. Your Personal Sidekick helps guide the conversation and can use your profile information to give more relevant answers.  

Sidekick is available 24/7, on a phone, tablet, or supported web browser.

NOTE: This is a third-party app maintained by Sidekick Platform and is not maintained by VA.

Get Started

To use the Veterans Affairs channel on the Sidekick app:

1. Download the Sidekick Platform app from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
2. Select Sign up.
3. Select the Veterans Affairs channel.
4. Create an account using your email address.
5. Check your email for your temporary password.
6. Return to the Sidekick Platform app to sign in.
7. Accept the End User Terms.
8. Select your Personal Sidekick.
9. Ask your Sidekick a question.
