Veteran Appointment Request 4.0

The Veteran Appointment Request (VAR) mobile application (app) allows Veterans who are in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) health care system to self-schedule and request primary care appointments. Depending on if the facility supports self-scheduling/appointment requests, Veterans may also use the app to schedule or request audiology, optometry or outpatient mental health appointments or request an express care appointment. Veterans can also view appointment details, track the status of requests, send messages about the requested appointments, get notifications about appointments, and cancel appointments.

Currently, an enhanced version of the Veteran Appointment Request (VAR) App is available first to Veterans at the following select locations. As the first users of the app, you may experience some minor issue(s) with the app as it is not the final version. If you would like, we encourage you to provide feedback by clicking on the tab above. VA will review feedback from Veterans and will continue to improve the app before releasing a final version.
