The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Staff Launchpad contains all VA applications (apps) for care teams. The app organizes more than a dozen apps into categories. With VA Staff Launchpad, VA intends to save you time and help you better integrate available VA apps into Veteran care.

The VA Staff Launchpad is available in the VA App Catalog on your GFE iPhone or iPad.

With VA Staff Launchpad, you can access apps that allow you to:

The Civilian Health and Medical Program of the Department of Veterans Affairs (CHAMPVA) Pay mobile application (app) is an interactive tool to assist Veteran beneficiaries and/or medical providers in looking up the participation status of CHAMPVA medical codes. The app accepts Current Procedural Technology (CPT), International Classification of Diseases, Tenth Revision (IDC-10), National Drug Code (NDC), and Durable Medical Equipment (HCPCS-DME) codes and returns the reimbursement status.

If you are a member of a Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) care team, the Patient Viewer, Version 3.2 mobile application (app) will allow you to find information quickly from patients’ Electronic Health Records (EHRs) from the convenience of a mobile device. The app will help you have a thorough understanding of a patient’s health and gain immediate access to EHR data – both in your VA facility and on the go.

This app is designed for use with VA Mobile tablets. Cardiac Rehabilitation Provider

Lock Icon - DS Logon Required Apps for Health Care Professionals that display a lock icon require VistA account credentials because they connect to the VA Electronic Health Record (EHR). 

The Cardiac Rehabilitation Provider (CR Pro) application (app) aids VA care teams in electronically facilitating care management of Veterans participating in home cardiac rehabilitation. Veterans enter their fitness, health, and mood information into the VA FitHeart App. Clinicians then use the CR Pro App to view the data and, if desired, export it as a progress note into the Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS).

Pain Coach App for Care Teams

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Pain Coach mobile application (app) for Care Teams (Pain Coach) is a helpful tool for tracking a patient’s pain management journey. From the app you will be able to view a patient’s daily pain diary and monthly check-ins and monitor his/her progress managing pain with tools and treatments. The app provides helpful tables and graphs of changes in a patient’s pain level over time and rates if their pain is improving, staying the same or declining.

If you are a Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) scheduler, the Scheduling Manager App allows Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) schedulers to receive and book appointment requests sent by patients through the Veteran Appointment Request (VAR) App and securely send messages to patients who are using the VAR App. Scheduling Manager is primarily used by schedulers designated by their site as VAR request managers. The VA Tool Set mobile application (app) lets VA staff members adjust settings for a site's types of care for which Veterans can submit requests or self-schedule appointments using the Veteran Appointment Request App. Types of care may include audiology, primary care, optometry, express care and outpatient mental health with more options to be added in the future. The settings selected using VA Tool Set affect the settings at the facility you’re logged into as well as all of the facility’s related divisions.

MyVA Health Video App for Care Teams

Lock Icon - DS Logon Required Apps for Health Care Professionals that display a lock icon require VistA account credentials because they connect to the VA Electronic Health Record (EHR).

The MyVA Health Video mobile application (app) for Care Teams allows VA providers to request that their Veteran patients take and securely upload short video clips, of approximately one to three minutes, for the provider to review.

These videos will help you to visualize and understand issues your patients might be experiencing at home, helping you provide guidance and care even when you are not in the same physical location. After requesting videos from your patients, you can securely view the videos online and monitor your patients’ health conditions remotely via the app.
