Lexicomp Online for Dentistry (LOD) provides reference information and screening tools to help answer questions on prescribing, diagnosis and treatment. It includes dental-specific pharmacology information on over 8,000 prescription drugs, over the counters (OTCs) and natural products, plus tools like a state-of-the-art lesion diagnosis aid and a drug interactions/drug allergy screener. LOD also includes an interactions screening tool, Medication Safety Check tab which displays a list of drugs from a medication category that aren't likely to interact with a patient's regimen.

The single app works for Clinical Key or Clinical Key Nursing which are both national subscriptions from the Library Network Office. The login is the same for CK and CKN. Please note that Clinical Pharmacology is not a national VA purchase.

VisualDx is a reference tool for diagnostic clinical decision support. Searchable by symptoms, signs, and patient factors, VisualDx is a path to a customized differential diagnosis. The many images and graphics available speed comparison, recognitions and diagnosis. VisualDx is used to validate a diagnosis, access next steps for management and care, and for patient education.

VisualDx combines medical knowledge, standardized terminology, search, and medical images to deliver concise and accurate answers.   1. From a computer on the VA Network, go to visualdx.com and click on Launch VisualDx in the upper right. Once inside the VisualDx app, click on VisualDx Mobile to register for a personal VisualDx user name and password to use on your mobile device.

VA Mental Health Checkup for Care Teams

The VA Mental Health Checkup application (app) for Care Teams supports measurement-based care for Veterans with various mental health conditions. Through the app, VA providers can engage Veterans in their own care with assessments to diagnose symptoms and evaluate levels of distress. With the app, VA staff members (i.e., mental health providers) can assign assessments to Veterans, provide feedback, receive alerts on Veteran assessment scores, receive notifications when Veterans complete assessments, and create Progress Notes for completed assessments. Veterans can complete their assessments on their personal devices at their convenience and obtain the results in real time directly after submitting their responses.
