If you are a member of a Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) care team, the Patient Viewer, Version 3 mobile application (app) will allow you to find information quickly from patients’ Electronic Health Records (EHRs) from the convenience of a mobile device. The app will help you have a thorough understanding of a patient’s health and gain immediate access to EHR data – both in your VA facility and on the go.

    View in-depth records for a specific patient, including Vitals, Medications, Documents, Consults, Labs and Radiology.

  • Staff View

    Switch to Staff View to view information for multiple patients at once, including progress notes that you have not completed through the Task List or consults you have conducted through Staff View – Consults.

  • Coversheet

    A patient’s cover sheet provides an easy, outlined way to view his or her health history and visits to VA medical facilities.

  • Vitals

    View your patient's vital signs (Blood Pressure, Pulse, Respiration, Temperature, Weight, Pain, Pulse Oximetry, etc.) as a table or a graph.

  • Medications

    See the medication history for your patient, including the medication name, status, instructions, quantity, refills remaining, date of last filling, date of initial order and whether it was prescribed by a VA or non-VA provider.

  • Documents

    See your patient’s documents, such as discharge summaries, pathology reports, progress notes, radiology reports and surgery reports.

  • Consults

    View a patient’s consults and sort by date range or status.

REVAMP App for Clinicians

NOTE: You must be on the VA network in order to launch the app through your internet browser.

The Remote Veterans Apnea Management Platform (REVAMP) App consists of a Patient Platform and a Clinician Platform. With the REVAMP App for Clinicians, as a sleep clinician, you will be able to set up patient accounts individually or in groups, enter sleep testing results, review patient Positive Airway Pressure (PAP) machine data, assign questionnaires, schedule appointments, write Treatment notes, assign home sleep test (HST) monitors and correspond with patients. Additionally, if you are an authorized user, you will also have the ability to create and manage educational material on sleep apnea and automated messages for patients.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • REVAMP is a web app that can be bookmarked on your laptop. Read the instructions here.
  • Cookies must be enabled for the REVAMP App to fully function.

The REVAMP App for Clinicians is available at select VA Sleep Centers for clinical users who have been registered in the application by a REVAMP Administrator.

CPAP Patient Portal Instructions

Soon your Continuous Positive Air Pressure (CPAP) results will no longer be displayed on the REVAMP web application. Follow the instructions below to continue monitoring your CPAP results. Philips Respironics Users

  1. Visit mydreammapper.com.
  2. Create a DreamMapper account using your CPAP’s 13-digit serial number (the number starting with a “J” displayed on the bottom of your CPAP). See this brochure for additional information.

ResMed Users

  1. Visit myair.resmed.com.
  2. Create a myAir account using the 11-digit serial number and 3-digit device number (DN) displayed on the back of your CPAP. See this brochure for additional information.

  • Case Management

    With the REVAMP App for Clinicians you will be able to register patients and their Positive Airway Pressure (PAP) machines, schedule patients for sleep testing and enter their results, review patient PAP machine data, assign questionnaires, schedule appointments, write Treatment notes and correspond with patients.

  • PAP Machine Data

    View how often your patient’s PAP machine has been in use and the patterns of use, your patient’s Apnea-Hypopnea Index, apnea event types and their mask leak data.

  • Administration

    Super and Site Administrators will be able to manage other user’s permissions and add new users.

  • Messages

    Send and receive secure messages to/from patients and providers using Secure Messaging.

  • Management

    View a list of all patients with event statuses on the Case Management screen. Authorized users can create home sleep test (HST) monitor inventory lists on the HST Tracking / Inventory screen. Site and Super Administrators can also set the order of treatment pathway events, create and edit templates, manage notifications, create home sleep test (HST) monitor inventory lists and publish educational content to the Patient Platform.

Airborne Hazards and Open Burn Pit Registry Clinical Portal

The Airborne Hazards and Open Burn Pit Registry is a database of health information from Operation Enduring Freedom/Operation Iraqi Freedom/Operation New Dawn (OEF/OIF/OND) or 1990-1991 Gulf War Veterans and Servicemembers collected through a questionnaire about exposures to airborne hazards. If you are a member of a Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) care team, the Airborne Hazards and Open Burn Pit Registry (AHOBPR) Clinical Portal will allow you access to review Registrants’ data, and therefore better understand the potential health effects of deployment-related exposures.

Preconception Care

If you are a VA or non-VA care team member, the Preconception Care App will provide you with information to support the integration of preconception care into comprehensive primary care, thereby optimizing the health of women Veterans of reproductive age. The app provides a single, easy access point for provider-centered resources that address a variety of factors, including birth control usage, reproductive history, health status, family and genetic history and risks, vaccinations received and lifestyle factors.

Features:

  • Reference recommended questions to help you talk about planning for or preventing pregnancy, including birth control and related health issues
  • Find talking points to guide your discussions on mental health issues, general medical concerns and risk factors for specific medical conditions during pre-pregnancy and pregnancy
  • Review a healthy lifestyle checklist with your patients that covers alcohol, drug and tobacco use; intimate partner violence; and vitamin and mineral guidelines

Safe Patient Handling

For both VA and non-VA care teams, particularly direct care providers including nurses, physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R) specialists and Imaging staff, the Safe Patient Handling app provides evidence-based Safe Patient Handling and Mobility (SPHM) techniques to help provide the safest care possible to patients. The app offers a blend of knowledge and tools to prevent injury of both health care professionals and the patients they care for by incorporating patient assessments, scoring tools, algorithms, equipment guides, videos for training and peer leader activity checklists. The information in this app offers the current best practices in SPHM at the point of care, preventing injury and improving interactions between patients and health care professionals.

Annie App for Clinicians

Lock Icon - DS Logon Required Apps for Health Care Professionals that display a lock icon require VistA account credentials because they connect to the VA Electronic Health Record (EHR). 

The Department of Veterans Affairs’ (VA) Annie mobile application (app) is a Short Message Service (SMS) text messaging capability that promotes self-care for Veterans enrolled in VA health care. Patients using Annie receive automated prompts to track and monitor their own health and motivational/educational messages. Annie also sends broadcast messages from the patient’s local VA medical center.

The Annie App for Clinicians allows clinicians to use and create care protocols that allow patients to easily submit their health readings back to Annie. Messages and patient data is stored in the Annie system where clinicians can view the texts and readings as needed.

Features:

  • Request and receive health readings from patients, such as blood pressure, glucose, caloric intake and more
  • Patient responses to messages are stored in the Annie system – not sent directly to you – but you can view Veterans’ messages whenever you want
  • Enroll patients in protocols to receive automated messages from Annie. This includes automated alerts if patient health data readings fall below or above pre-set thresholds
  • Create and send automated motivational and educational messages from Annie to patients, encouraging them to stay on track with their care plan and achieve their goals
  • Send messages on behalf of your VA medical facility to quickly reach groups of patients who have opted-in to receiving messages and updates from your VA medical facility
  • Certain authorized VA staff will have the ability to create protocols and send messages on behalf of their VA medical facility

  • Staff View, Admin View, Broadcast Admin, System Admin and Facility Team Admin

    Staff View is used to register a patient, view and assign protocols, edit protocols, review messages to and from a patient, see information on the patients and teams with which you are associated, and see charts and tables of patient data. Admin View is used to create and edit protocols that can be assigned to patients in Staff View. Broadcast Admin is used to send messages on behalf of your VA medical facility to all Veterans who are registered in Annie and opt-in to receive messages from your VA medical facility. System Admin (only available to a limited number of users) is used to manage permissions for staff users, edit the response messages for Annie’s text commands (Help, Pause, Resume, Start, Stop), set default values for measurements and create new measurement readings. Facility Admin View is only available to a limited number of users to add and edit teams at facilities.

  • Register Patients

    Consent and register patients with Annie so they can receive messages from Annie that are specific to them.

  • Create Protocols

    In Admin View, create and edit protocols assigned to patients in Staff View.

  • Assign, View & Edit Protocols

    Once inside the Patient Record in Staff View, view the audit trail to see all changes, adjust patients' account settings and edit, enable and disable protocols.

  • Message History

    Once inside the Patient Record in Staff View, see the messages exchanged between Annie and your patient.

  • Health Reports

    Once inside the Patient Record in Staff View, see charts and tables of health information based on the readings a patient has sent to Annie.

  • Broadcast Medical Facility Messages to Veterans

    Send messages on behalf of your VA medical facility to all patients who are registered in Annie and have opted-in to receive messages from your facility.

  • Manage Staff Permissions

    In System Admin you can manage permissions for staff users, edit the response messages for Annie’s text commands (Help, Pause, Resume, Start, Stop), set default values for measurements and create new measurement readings.

VA App Catalog Required iOS Version of IVS app: You must be on your VA-issued mobile device in order to install and launch the iOS version of the Image Viewing Solution app. From your VA-issued mobile device home screen, find the VA App Catalog icon (MDM.VA.gov) pictured to the right and search for IVS to install.

The Image Viewing Solution (IVS) mobile application (app) allows U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) clinicians and other medical professionals to search for and view patients’ clinical images. The IVS aggregates images from VA enterprise medical facilities, offering easily accessible diagnostic-grade images, capabilities to work with images (e.g., scrolling, panning, zooming, adjusting window/level) and a tool to collaborate with other VA clinical staff.

The IVS app protects Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and Protected Health Information (PHI) as well as the fidelity of the image, ensuring IVS usage is HIPAA compliant and that images cannot be manipulated.

  • Find patients by searching specific archives or all of VA’s databases
  • View and work with images in the IVS Study Browser
  • Collaborate with other health care professionals
  • View images from different perspectives (e.g., 2D, MIP/MPR, 3D)
  • Work with images in a variety of ways, such as zooming, flipping, highlighting and measuring on an image
